The Oriental Gardens | Norfolk VA

On the very last day of my 3 day workshop at the PSD EXPERIENCE, Me and Sarah { my best spud } of Sarah Bozaan Photography headed over to the Oriental Gardens. The reason why were heading that way, was because there was supposed to be a “In Love” Session class held by Marta Locklear. Little did we know { yes because we were late to everything } that it was cancelled! So we wander around the gardens, take in the beauty of the Pagoda, evergreen plants, stones and water. We stayed a while and had fun taking pictures of ourselves, the sunset and just random things around.  The rain starts dripping lightly and i suggested we headed back, as we dragged our bags and carried our camera’s we stumble upon a group of students just walking around in the gardens. Yes as usual me and Sarah {my kidney} looked at eachother again, and i knew just by looking at her what was going to happen next…

We introduced ourselves to Marcus Emmanuel, Justin Old, Raeesah Islam and Claire  all whom are students from The Governor School for the Arts | Norfolk | VA. As they took a detour from attending RAPPAHANNOCK COUNTY (a new music theater piece about life during the Civil War at the Harrison Opera House)

They bumped into us….

Marcus Emmanuel age 16 – studying Instrumental Music : Goals in Life : to be a Horn Player – Love his vintage urban style!

Karen & Raleigh : Wedding at 2941 Restaurant, VA

My first “White Wedding” Yes that’s true! the first time I have ever been to an American Wedding and shot a bride in a “White” Dress. So my friend Laurie Bracewell was kind enough to let me second shoot the wedding with her.
Oh the simple colors, the calming atmosphere, the intimate party. The sheer simplicity blew me away.
Karen and Raleigh are an amazingly adorable couple, the both were very calm, kind and so easy going. I started by shooting Karen getting ready at home and then we all headed over to 2941 Restaurant in Falls Church, VA.
The Ceremony was in a small, intimate room with a pianist playing whimsical songs. The reception was held in an delightful airy room, with cute embellishments and orange light drops falling from the ceiling.  I had a great time and was so much fun.

Sunday Fun

Great Falls, VA

Today we celebrate 13Bedar with our persian friends. Yup the smell of grilled chicken kabobs, the games and the unity of people makes me all warm and fuzzy inside.
whilst at the park, i slipped away from my party of 15 to go and take some randoms. When i say “randoms” i meant, take pictures of things that dont include people {as i always do}
So yeah, um here are two of my favorites : you can see more on my Flickr page.
